Internet Safety

We have a duty to our pupils to raise awareness of these issues in school but we appreciate that whilst safety and filtering procedures are in place in school, pupils can often be exposed to dangers whilst accessing technology out of school hours.

It is important that parents/carers are aware of what children are looking at and who they are communicating with on the Internet and we have listed a few websites which you may find useful for further information. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but may give you a starting point.

These websites are taken from the BECTA (British Educational Communications & Technology Agency) advice booklet and it is pointed out therein, that any inclusion does not imply endorsement by BECTA nor does any exclusion imply the reverse.

As always if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact the school.
